Amanda K. Jaros is a writer living in Ithaca, NY. She holds an MFA in creative nonfiction from Chatham University. Amanda's work has appeared in a wide range of places, online and in print, from literary magazines to blogs to the local newspaper. In 1999, Amanda thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail by herself. She has written a memoir about her six-month adventure, which is now out on submission.

Amanda loves trees, mountains, the Adirondacks, and everything in nature and she spends as much time as she can outside. She loves taking pictures of everything, and all the photos on the site are hers.
